Lake Home Kitchen
This renovation focused on improving sight-lines and functionality within an open-concept main level overlooking the lake. A central pony wall previously divided the space and obstructed views. By removing the wall and reworking the layout, the kitchen now feels brighter, more connected, and intentionally designed to support everyday living.

Design Approach
The existing cabinetry was in excellent condition, but the layout restricted flow and interrupted key sightlines to the lake. Rather than replacing what was already working, the design focused on strategic reconfiguration.
The central pony wall was removed to restore visual continuity and improve circulation. To maintain functionality and compensate for lost storage, a custom island was introduced, designed to provide additional prep surface, concealed storage, and seating.
Existing wall cabinetry was retained and integrated into the updated plan, while a built-in refrigerator unit was added to increase capacity without disrupting the overall elevation. The result is a kitchen that feels more expansive and connected while supporting the practical demands of rural living.
