Lakeside Entry
The Lakeside Entry renovation reimagined a small front closet into a functional mudroom-style landing designed to support everyday routines. Located on the walkout level of the home, the space serves as the primary entry point for family life coming and going from the lake.
Custom wall paneling, a continuous wood bench, and open hooks provide practical storage for coats, footwear, and seasonal gear while maintaining a clean, welcoming aesthetic. The result is a simple, hardworking entry that feels organized, warm, and connected to the relaxed lifestyle of lakeside living.
Design Approach
The design focused on transforming an underutilized closet into a practical entry that could support the rhythm of daily family life. Durable materials, open storage, and a custom wood bench were introduced to create a space where coats, boots, and everyday items could be easily stored without cluttering the home.
Vertical paneling and warm wood tones bring character and texture to the compact footprint while maintaining a simple, cohesive aesthetic that complements the rest of the home.
