Who doesn't love cats & dogs & horses?! Our littles wish they had all three.. and more than one of each... #littleanimallovers

We've got several different sensory tables to choose from, so I opted for the table that is sectioned off into two parts; two activities in one!
Unfortunately Little Man is currently in a cast after a fall & breaking his hand while we were on our camping trip (poor guy). The cast won't be on too long, but for now, it's strictly dry sensory table play, and not our usual water or messy play.

I raided my materials & supply stash for some dry goods and decided on black beans for the Pet Park, and green lentils for the Ranch!

Working from home like me? This activity is great for independent play. Watch your littles use their imaginations & see this open-ended activity come to life!
Materials:
sectioned sensory bin
black beans & green lentils
horse, cat, & dog figurines
wood slices, faux foliage, & rocks
misc. block pieces
"farm food" pieces
In This Activity
Spark Conversation — chat about all the animals we keep as pets. Do you have any pets? Which pet would you choose?
Fine Motor Work & Concentration — manipulating these small pieces are great for those little hands & muscles.
Sensory — the black beans & lentils feel different & look different but both feel nice in your hands.
Imaginative Play — there is no limit to what your littles can think up with this open-ended activity!
Happy playing!
