This bonus room turned playroom is an extension of the rest of the family home.
This playroom not only functions as a play space, but also second living room & guest sleeping quarters. In keeping with the home's existing aesthetic, we opted for a more neutral palette; black and white with warm woods, natural elements & plants.
Limiting brightly coloured plastic toys and opting for more natural objects and woven baskets for storage keeps with the environmentally mindful nature of this home. Eclectic pieces from travels are thoughtfully placed throughout. Complete with kids kitchen & role play area.

For this literacy activity we are using Bananagrams & a book - easy peasy!
(Scrabble letters & letter magnets work great, too!)
We chose a book with animal names so Little Man could choose an animal, see its name, and spell it out. Searching for letters that lay in all angles on the tray add a welcomed challenge for this guy!
Sound out letters, chat about the animals, and have fun!
